14 SEPTEMBER 1944
First Lieutenant Frederick F. Hoss, evacuated a soldier with an acute appendix from Wardo Bay, Biak. He landed in the open sea and transferred  the patient from a barge to his ship. The patient was taken to the 92nd General Hospital at Owi.
