MISSION REPORT - EVAC - 01

13 DECEMBER 1945
Second Lieutenant Louis A. Carle, pilot of R-6A helicopter "Windmill 61", departed Clark Field at 0835 and set course for Nichols Field. Lieutenant Carle landed at Nichols Field to have his stretcher attached to his aircraft. He departed at 1100 and set off for Tagaewayan. Lieutenant Carle loaded his patient into the stretcher and a medic to care for the injured Philippino man. Once loaded, he took off and headed for the 312th General Hospital in Manila. His patient off-loaded and on the way to recovery, he departed the 312th Hospital for Nichols Field. His mission complete, he arrived at Clark Field at 1735.
